Monroe County Commissioners will hold a public town hall meeting at the Monroe County Conference Center at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27 that is open to all Monroe County citizens regarding the ongoing updates to the county’s comprehensive plan. The Town Hall Meeting will be led and moderated by representatives of Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC), the architectural and engineering firm that is overseeing the county’s more than year-long comprehensive plan update process. Tuesday’s Town Hall Meeting will be the primary hearing in which citizens will be able to voice their opinions regarding the future development of Monroe County. Two additional public town halls will be held in 2027 to provide citizens with updates on GMC’s work, but Tuesday’s meeting is critical toward GMC’s efforts in crafting the plan.
