The Monroe County Financial Department is responsible for creating and maintaining the “full financial records of the County,” including any and all revenues, expenditures, obligations, receipts, and accounts. The Accounting Section provides the County with responsive accounting and fiscal processing systems that promote public accountability and focus on customer service. The section provides technical or specialized financial and fiscal service to the County in all the different facets of accounting. This includes services in financial reporting, accounts receivable, cash collection, debt service, asset management, and general ledger maintenance and payroll for 300+ employees.
