    Vital records and marriage licenses can be obtained from the Monroe County Probate Court.

    1. Get your address from the Planning & Zoning Department by calling (478) 994-7040 or send an email at kfortner@monroecoga.org.  If you email or leave a message–it’s helpful to have your map and parcel number, property owner name or an address near by.
    2. Get a septic tank permit by calling Environmental Health: (478) 993-3081
    3. Get a driveway permit from the Road Department: (478) 994 -7029
    4. Get a compliance letter at the Planning & Zoning Department office located on the 3rd Floor of the Monroe County Government Offices: 38 W. Main Street | Forysth, GA 31029
    5. When you have all of the aforementioned documents, take them to the Building Inspections Department which is located on the 2nd Floor of the County Government Offices: (478) 994-7618

    The Monroe County Commissioners Meetings are open to the public, however the Executive Session is closed.
